Flashback Friday: Favorite Fads

I am a kid of the 80's. I love the 80's. The music, the movies, not so much the clothes...On today's FBF, I want to look back on some of the fun fads from my fave decade and please let me know yours in the Comments section.

The Rubik's Cube--I never solved mine but I sure tried. Many hours...I know you can still pick one of these up at your local discount store but the original is always best.

Ah, the simplicity of the Atari...Space Invaders, Pac-Man and of course, Pong. And let's face it, kids will never know the joy of blowing the dust out of the cartridges if they started acting squirrly.

The bigger the hair the better...
Hair spray, preferably Rave or Aqua Net and a hairdryer = wings

Who didn't have a couple of these items in your closet back in the day?

Blue eyeshadow and liner...James Cameron's inspiration for Avatar???

Looking back I remember how cool we were with these fads. But as they do, fads fade. And just as quick as they caught fire, they fizzle out to make room for the next big thing. Anybody ever treat your spiritual experiences like that? Ever look back and wonder where all that enthusiasm for your walk with Christ went?  Never allow yourself to treat Jesus as a fad. So comforting to know He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
